Lucha libre! Home made wresteling masks for the boys to play!

Well Lucha Libre is fun to say.
Awhile back Mollys brother Lanigan had made a statement to the effect of, 'how come you never make us anything!'. By us he means him and Avery. Obviously he is feeling left out of the sewing circle so I made these wrestling masks. The masks are a surprise so don't know if they know what a luchador is.

Up above is the pattern making process for these masks. I traced my own head then added circumference measurements and then took off an inch because they have small heads compared to mine.

I tried to make it kid friendly by using elastic at the back of the head instead of the traditional lace up.

I made them different but the same, that way one wont think the other is better and think I favored one boy over the other.
And here Molly's teddy bear is being the model because there are not any other heads in the house right now. This is made out of a regular woven cotton blend fabric, it has no stretch.

Thanks for reading stay fresh and happy sewing!
