Trick to place pockets evenly.

I'm making a size 2T dress but before I sew it together I need to put the pockets on.

I start by folding the front in half placing the pocket where I want it then sticking pins in at key points to mark where the pocket will lay, pins need to go through both sides of the front which is on center fold.

mark at pins on both sides open and take pins out then place both pockets on their marks.

fold raw edge under and pin to hold inn place while top stitching.

This method also works for placing pockets on anything that is mirror image.
