I went hand made for Mothers day

Well I don't have money but I do have a mommy so I made something instead. I'm not quite sure what it was intended to be.

It says 'You Are Beautiful' with a butterfly, I wrote the cursive myself and sketched out the shape of the butterfly the way I wanted and just hand stitched it all in the fabric.

When I finished the edges I used a blanket stitch out of the hemp thread you use to make friendship bracelets at camp, the blanket stitch kept the fabric from fraying and made it easier to do the lace work. This was my first time making lace so it is uneven but I don't think its to bad for a first timer.

I found this book at the thrift store for $3.00 and it has been a great resource for needlework. The thread I used is on the book, it says beading twine.
