The Beginning of my sewing journey from school to at home on my own.

Well Here I am starting my first blog. I'm overwhelmed with ideas of where I should start, Its been quite a journey for me this last year.
I've been sewing since I was very little, I enjoy it so I decided to go to school for pattern making. Which was fun but came to an end. That was my first college I went too, since i have gone to school for massage therapy and had a son. I haven't been sewing since I had left my pattern making classes.

So this is me getting back into sewing. My son died when he was 38 days old, today i am thinking about his birthday. His birthday is July 5 and he would be turning one. Ever since he passed away I've become a godmother, a breast-milk donor and a woman who lost her mind. Since loosing my mind I've decided to start sewing again and I have been rediscovering the joy I once had for it.

Last valentines day I made my goddaughter a dress, yesterday and today I am making children s hospital gowns. These hospital gowns are for a charity that gives personalized hospital gowns to terminally ill children. The woman who gave me a pattern to use to make them asked me to fix the patterns she had but the patterns she had are not squared off and the seems don't match up so I went ahead and made new patterns for her.

I have another project lined up already with a photographer. When I am done with the hospital gowns I will tell you all about it!
